Pet Portraits For All Animals

Many people when they think about pet portraits will immediately think of dog portraits. While it is true that there are a lot of portraits, picture, photos and memorabilia that feature dogs, pet portraits are not exclusively for dogs. The people who paint or draw or print pet portraits can do so for just about any pet you have.
Some people have had pet horses that they have raised since they were young. This bond that is formed between pet and pet owner does not know any limits in regards to breed or type of pet. There are some people who have pet tigers, brown and black bears. These animals can make for exciting pet portraits.

These pets, although big and sometime dangerous can still be very loving and loyal companions to people. There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to saying what type of animal can show unconditional love and loyalty; however there are laws in most countries that prohibit certain kinds of animals to be kept as pets. If your animal is in one of these categories, you may have to check with your local authorities to see if you are able to keep them as a pet and under what conditions must you adhere to. It is inevitable that you will be required to register your pets and have certain safety provision put in place to stop your pet from being a public threat. If by any chance you are able to meet these requirements and are in a finically stable position that you can afford to take care of your pet, you should be able to keep it.

It is important to remember that pets need constant care; they require regular meals made up from specific foods suitable for their dietary needs. You pet will need to have medical checkups and if and when required they may need special medicine. It is not ok to give your animal antibiotics and over the counter medicines that are meant for humans. This can cause harmful effects on your pet. All of this can cost a lot of money and if for some reason you end up running short on money it is not okay just to forget about your pet and abandon it. The more exotic your pet the more expensive your pets needs will be. It is extremely to remember that once you have a pet, you have a friend for life.
